Yeni OfofoNation: Can you give us a little bit about yourself, Who is Olly Jaey?Olly Jaey: My name is OLAMIDE JOHNSON MOYEGUN from Oyo State based in Ilorin, kwara state. Currently studying Social Work in University of Ilorin. Olly Jaey is very simple and accomodating
 
Yeni OfofoNation: Can you tell us about your family background?Olly Jaey: Am the first born and the only son, i have a junior sister who goes by name OYINKANSOLA
Yeni OfofoNation: When & Why did you decide to pursue a professional music career?Olly Jaey: Hmmm...... Music is just my life cause i have passion for it. My mum once told me my reactions when i was a kid that i would prefer the music sound coming from the Small radio and toys to my food LOL. So not that i decided to go into music but its been part of me its what i enjoy doing, the journey started in 2008/09.

Yeni OfofoNation: Have you been musically inclined for a long time?Olly Jaey: Back in college days, i studied music for 6years and it was really helpful, learnt how to play different instruments and ideas about others. Although we were all running from the theory aspect then but always having a full house during the practical aspect *laughs, later found out music gat no shortcut so we had no choice. With that i was able to handle the guitar and piano and write songs on my own. So it has been so easy for me with that.

Yeni OfofoNation: Can you tell us about the very first track you recorded?
Olly Jaey: Mehn.... It was titled TRUE LOVE. The song was recorded in the year 2010 got produced by EmmyKomson.
 
Yeni OfofoNation: So, Are you currently signed to a record label?Olly Jaey: Currently i run mine, CODED MIND MUSIC is the name..... Presently i have just 4 dope artistes weh we dey make tinz happen *laughs; Realz, KweenElla, Ghyft and YungChris. These guys are damn hot. I have other officials as well such as The manager(T'blaiz), In-House producer (SpiceBeats), DJ(superstarDJ Smark) and dancers (DaProd) etc
Yeni OfofoNation: Are you a Student or A Graduate?Olly Jaey: Am a Student as well as a music consultant. Am a Finalist of Unilorin.
Yeni OfofoNation: How did your parents & family feel about your decision to go into music professionally?Olly Jaey: Hmmm.... It was a deal! *laughs
As long as it wont affect my education and wont steer up negative influences then its a go! My famz have been really helpful,got some lowkey connectz frm my uncle(Biggy$$). Even when i shot my music video, the cars i used were from my aunt. Got words of advice from some as well, so they've all been helpful and i thank God for that
Yeni OfofoNation: What Genre or style would you consider your music?Olly Jaey: An artist should be able to major in other style as well so i would say am an all round artist, i could do any genre. Am kinda based on afrobeat hip hop and some of RnB as well.

Yeni OfofoNation: Whats it like in the Ilorin Music Scene right now, and how are you adapting?Olly Jaey: The sky is enough to accomodate millions of birds and what makes one distinctive is your own unique style and ability to learn new things as long as you dont compare yourself with someone else. Ilorin Music scene is really great, we'v got lotta artists. What i know and believe in as well is that 'Celebrate anyone that is making it now and never feel bad about their rising for one day you gonna be celebrated as well! Although its really challenging but without it one wnt work harder...

Yeni OfofoNation: Any Controversy so far?
Olly Jaey: Some didnt believe that tiny voice is mine naturally, they thought its through the use of studio effect and all.... Untill i sang and dropped some free videos on IG with my guitar... Lol. Am just me nothing more
Yeni OfofoNation: But What is it about Olly Jaey you would want your fans out there to know?Olly Jaey: Olly Jaey is very hardworking, unique, simple, quiet, humble,supportive and soft-hearted, playful, Lolz. Olly Jaey doesnt feel bad when others are making it instead celebrate other people's success. And guess what, Olly Jaey dey pray well well ooo... *laughs

What are you working on right now. Can we expect an album or other compilation or music video in the near future?Hmm.... Actually i shot a video earlier, January 24 to be precise but got delayed for some reasons best known to the label but its gonna be out before december! Hmmm.... Presently working on myself and other artists in the label. Expect nothing less but the best from us.
 
Yeni OfofoNation: Are you married or in any serious relationship?Olly Jaey: *Sings* love o love o baby o #laughs, Hmm.... Am in a very very serious relationship, her name is MUSIC. #laugh.... Now you should know what i mean #winks lol
Yeni OfofoNation: In your own words how do you define (your state) Music/Entertainment Industry?Olly Jaey: For now its the survival of the fittest. If you aint working hard and u expecting something big to happen. My broda OYO lowa o lolzzz

Yeni OfofoNation: Do you have a role model in the industry?Olly Jaey: Few and dope ones.... Cant mention all bt 2Face, P brodaz N Akon.... I love good music! Believe it
