2016 REVIEW: CHECKOUT TOP 15 BEST SONGS OUT OF UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN
Based on my judgement (Don Yeni Ofofonation), radio air play requests, awards, statistics of downloads plus mass acceptance, I present to you the top 15 best songs to come out of the better by far university, Unilorin.
1. HOW FAR NAH (REMIX) BY M"KIDO ft. TUNDEX MANIA, HARCKNZY
As a Music Producer, Initially when i heard this song on a friend's phone, i was like "Ooh, nice concept, catch chorus and dope collabos" but then I felt indifferent to the song. I didnt know if i liked it, but i sure as hell didnt hate it. Now, after seeing live performances of the song subsequently, hearing people talk about it, play or joke with it "How Far Nah? How Far Nah??", hearing some lecturers saying the new slang by M'kido, I became more inclined to believe and conclude that HOW FAR NAH by M'kido was a certified hit on campus, Ilorin City, Nigeria and beyond. *Thumbs Up Bro*.
Urrrrgghhhh!!!! Focuz
ii lori career *in his voice*; This was a hit immediately it came out because Generous Ibile being an Indigenous Rapper killed the track with over flowing energy as usual and dope inter-twisted punchlines, although sometimes vulgar. This track was featured on DJ Real (Emir 1 of Alaba) and he applauded Generous saying this was one of the best versions of Ycee's Jagaban he had heard. Round of applause for Generous please.
By the way, if you havent seen the video of this joint, you are sitting on a customized long thing for you alone. With a video shot in Oke Odo and Unilorin campus, sliced and butter
ed with scenes from Olamide Badoo's original set, Tundex Mania who has won himself numerous competitions, titles and awards has come to solidify his stay in the nigerian music industry. His rap lines are dope, his play on words were superb. Tundex's stage performance of this track electrifies any event he is invited to.
4. FILE BE BY UZAIN
Hello freshers, if you are reading this right now, permit me to introduce you to the fastest Rapper in Unilorin, give it up for Uzain!!! This guy killed the beat on this track, like seriously, he murdered it. Dope concept, dope lines, dope verses. If you are thinking of working with this guy on a track, "abegi bros go and up your game first". Thanks
Now show me that dude that said ladies can not do shii thats dangerous, Seriously! Ema lo wa is a cover
of Cassper Nyovest's Mama I Made It, L.T.B (a female rapper, arguably the best female rapper in Unilorin) took a knife to the throat of this beat and sliced right through it. She was bouncing all through the track like it was nothing, with mad a*s punchlines and puns... EMA LO WA O!!!
6. BELIEVE BY KAYSWAGG
Honestly, from this guy's first single i listened to back then and now, something that i have always loved in this guy's work still remains. This is the fact that Kayswagg is one of the few up and coming artistes who songs sound highly professional and star-like. We've got to give it to this dude, go back and listen to Dagboru, listen to Gentleman and now Believe minus host of his other tracks, we'd all see that he sonorous voice and dexterity portrays him as a made and professionally experienced artiste. Believe is a highly inspirational and motivational song, its nice to see an artiste put pen to Paper to write out a song.
And he appears on this list again with another hit single he titled GBEWUDANI. I think M'kido is speaking from experience tho, maybe he get one gal wey won turn am to gbewudani... lol. Excuse my french, this is a very nice track from the French Boy, which shows that he is a very consistent artiste and not just a one hit wonder. We love the fact that the song is highly danceable and his voice merges with the beat in a way its like a match made from above.
..."uh! Don Yeni Beatz is not a fuck boy" ... Remix in my head, lol. He was the first runner-up at the university’s talent show( Unilorin’s Got Talent Season 2), and also has been killing shows around Ilorin ever since, no
doubt Major Heyjay is an Artiste to watch out for in the music 'business'.
HeyJay
delivered what I am gonna have to describe as a distinctive lyrical precision and synchronically temporific and rhythmic perfection. Mind my diction, how else una go take sabi my department.

This is exactly what happens when you make monsters jam together on a joint, it instantaneously becomes a monster hit track. Raplann, fondly called IbileEnglish lyrist a cow to the slaughter house which M'kido, Tundexmania and Harcknzy were the butchers. Nice track we've got here, potential street anthem for Gs.
Does anybody remember this singer? The beautiful thing about this dude is he like to go underground, coded or undercover where nobody will see him, then seldomly he'd release bangs you'd not be able to resist. He was responsible for the nice sonorous hook on GenerousIbile's Efejole years ago. Hilwid has decided to bless us with yet another killertune titled Bugatti. This song as at this month is the most played track on my phone. I dont know how to appraise this song, all i can say is "Parental Advisory, Explicitly Dope Content".
12. MOSUN BY DAMILARE ft. TIQUE
13. THIS FINE GIRL DON CAST BY RENSEY
Firstly, I need
to know the producer that worked on this joint because as Music
Producer, i think i am safe to say this is one of the best, if not the
best high quality audio mixing i heard on an 'Unilorin' Up and Coming
Artiste. The production was clean, sharp, clear as crystal. Rensey did
justice to the track and i was like, "Wait! hollup, where have this guy
been?". Nice touch.
"Shout out to the boys wey dey G, You dey there dey complain sef you H, You keep giving out your banana, but me, I wan buy house for Banana, I aint got no time"... (Sauce's lines). If I were to award an artiste here in Unilorin as the best lyricist, i'd definately by this guy. His punchlines are soooo deep, powerful and fast, that you cant decipher unless you are running on Windows 10. Although he graduated this year, Short Black Sauce got to the nationwide finals of Pepenazi's I aint got no time competition. Download and listen to this dude.
15. JAIYE JAIYE BY GOLDEN BOI
This fast rising up and coming artiste did an awesome job on this beat. The much handsome but talented Crooner is blazing with this oneof
its kind series. You just can’t Resist the beat. You Just need to Twerk,
twist and dance to it.
