UNILORIN STUDENT EMERGES BEST CAMPUS JOURNALIST
The need for writers to write objectively and consistently has been re-affirmed,
as Mr. Ali Toyin Abdul, a 400 level student of the Faculty of Law, University
of Ilorin emerged as the best Campus Editor for this year 2016.
At the recently held maiden edition of the National Association of
Nigerian Campus Editors (NANCE) summit, that took place at the University of
Lagos. Mr. Ali won the award that was keenly contested by 13 contestants
cutting across various institutions of learning.
Mr. Ali, who reports for various media outlets in the country, was
described as a young man with loads of talent and creativity and that was the
edge he had over all other contestants.
However, he was given a plaque and his award has qualified him as
the NANCE Ambassador for the year 2016,
apart from qualifying for an automatic internship programme The Nation Newspaper. He has also become
a member of the advisory council of NANCE for 2016.
Among other dignitaries that were present at the
occasion were, The Nation Newspaper,
Online Editor, Mr.LekanOtufodunrin, and the Chairman of Editorial Board of The Nation Newspaper, Mr.SamOmatseye,
